We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revDSG) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Our enquiry, compatibility and contact forms collect your name, email address, your vehicle details (make, model, year, engine or fuel type) and any comments you add. Sending a form is voluntary; without these details we cannot answer you.

We use this data solely to respond to your enquiry, assess compatibility, prepare an offer and arrange an appointment. Legal basis: performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps at your request, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries. We do not use it for advertising and we do not sell or rent it.

Retention: enquiry data is kept while we are in contact and for up to 24 months afterwards so we can pick up a conversation you resume; installation and invoicing records are kept for the statutory retention period (currently ten years under Swiss accounting law).

When you visit the site, our hosting provider processes technical data — IP address, browser and device type, requested page and timestamp — to deliver the pages and to detect abuse. These logs are short-lived and are not used to profile you.

The website sets no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. See the cookie policy.

Phantom Track processes vehicle position and movement data: GNSS position, timestamps, speed and direction, ignition and movement events, battery-disconnect events, geofence events and the resulting journey history, together with the device identifier and the vehicle it is assigned to.

This data is processed on tracking infrastructure that we operate ourselves and host in Switzerland. It is not sent to a tracker manufacturer's cloud for their own purposes.

Access is limited to you as the account holder and to the small number of our staff who need it for support, maintenance or an active theft case. We disclose location data to third parties only where you ask us to (for example to help you and the police recover a stolen vehicle) or where we are legally obliged to.

Retention: live position data and journey history are kept for the retention period agreed for your account and then deleted; you can ask us to shorten it or to delete history at any time. When your Track service ends, the account and its history are deleted after a short grace period.

Please note that if you install a tracker in a vehicle used by other people — employees, family members, renters — you are responsible for informing them that its location is recorded. Covert tracking of another person can be unlawful.

We use a small number of processors: our website and database hosting provider, the Swiss hosting for the tracking platform, the mobile connectivity provider for the tracker SIM, and our email provider. They act on our instructions under data-processing agreements and only for the purposes described here.

You may request access to the data we hold about you, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, a copy in a portable format, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Write to kontakt@phantomlock.ch; we may ask you to identify yourself before we act. You also have the right to complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, in the EU, your local supervisory authority.

Access to enquiry and tracking data is restricted to authorised accounts, transmitted over encrypted connections and protected by database-level access rules. For the security of our customers we never publish installation positions, wiring information or photographs of installed hardware.
